Packaged Air Systems
Hope Air Systems has extensive experience designing, fabricating, installing and maintaining skid-mounted packaged air systems to meet the critical manufacturing requirements of its customers throughout the world. For more than 40 years it’s engineering and technical staff have developed custom designs to meet and exceed customer’s requirements.
In recent years, the various manufacturers have been stepping up their design and production of “packaged” air systems. It might be more correctly defined as “pre-packaged” systems. These come from the factory with many of the complimentary components for a complete system already mounted on a skid, ready for installation.
Factory-assembled and pre-tested, these systems often meet the exact requirements for many of our customers. When that’s not possible, Hope Air Systems is capable of building a “package” that meets its customer’s unique needs.

Kaeser Packaged Air Systems
Kaeser has developed a series of packaged air compressor systems to meet a variety of performance and flexibility requirements. This includes rotary air compressor systems, blower systems and vacuum systems:
- Simplex Series 3 to 20 HP
- Duplex Series 6 to 40 HP
- Air Tower Series 3 to 10.5 HP
- AS T Series 20 to 25 HP
- AS T Series (cabinet style) 20 to 30 HP
- Two-lobe Blower
- Three-lobe Blower
- ASV, BSV, CSV Vacuum 10 to 40 HP
Each of these specialized packaged air systems meets specific requirements of high performance, rugged design and efficient operation.
Simplex/Duplex Series
These packaged compressed air systems include one or two Kaeser “Sigma” rotary screw compressors and a refrigerated air dryer mounted on a horizontal receiver tank. The Simplex Series is available from 3 HP to 20 HP with capacities from 4.5 to 102 scfm and the Duplex Series is available from 6 HP to 40 HP with capacities from 9 to 204 scfm. These Kaeser packaged air systems are matched with a high-efficiency refrigerated dryer, an appropriately sized air receiver and filtration to provide the required air quality level. Designed to be efficient in size and performance, they fit into a small footprint on the factory floor and will provide years of reliable service. With a completely piped and wired package, the installation requires utility connections and a touch of the start button.
Air Tower Series
Kaeser has designed a real space saver with the Air Tower Series packages. The Air Tower compressor is mounted over the an integral, non-cycling refrigerated dryer, which contributes to a slim package. Both system components have their own control cabinet and can run independent of one another if required. The package features wide-opening doors for easy maintenance and the dryer component platform pulls out for complete access.

AS T Series
This series comes with a cabinet and non-cabinet style. The integrated refrigerated dryer provides high quality compressed air from one compact package. In the cabinet style, the compressor and dryer are mounted in separate, modular cabinets for easy access to all maintenance points. In the non-cabinet style, the package contains a compressor, an integrated refrigerated dryer, an appropriately sized air receiver and filtration system. This package also has the electronic eco-drain system. This “no-loss” drain removes condensate without releasing valuable compressed air.
Two/Three-Lobe Blower Packages
The unique rotary-lobe blowers from Kaeser are recognized for high efficiency, reliability and low noise levels. The various designs offer flows up to 5350 cfm and are suitable for operation up to 15 psig, and are offered in packages up to 350 HP. The two-lobe version offers high efficiency and versatile mounting. The three-lobe version offers reduced pulsation and lower noise levels.
Operating Principles
On the Kaeser two-lobe and three-lobe rotary-lobe blowers, the inlet air is trapped between the rotor and casing and delivered to the discharge side. The two rotors intermesh, but do not touch, and therefore need no lubrication. The heat generated by compression dissipates with the flow medium. On three-lobe blowers, the proprietary casing channel helps equalize the internal pressure and discharge pressure to reduce pulsations and minimize noise.
Heavy-duty casing
The distinctive ribbed housing of the Kaeser rotary-lobe blower provides strength and rigidity while ensuring adequate cooling. The integral drive-end bearing support provides for a heavy-duty design and maintains alignment in difficult applications.

Sound attenuation
Kaeser’s durable, powder coated enclosure features two inch acoustic foam insulation and continuous lip seals on the access panels as well as stainless steel screws and hinges. Enclosures reduce noise levels by up to 20 db. Optional super soundproofing is also available. Also, the inlet and discharge silencers are specially designed for frequencies produced by Omega blowers and operate on absorption principles. These silencers are highly effective over the whole range of frequencies.
Optimal cooling
The enclosures on the rotary-lobe blowers from Kaeser are designed with strategically placed louvers in conjunction with an integral ventilation fan which allows for effective cooling and maintains efficiency even under maximum loading.
Rotary Screw Vacuum Packages
Kaeser rotary screw vacuum packages feature a solid steel floor with anti-vibration mounts eliminating the need for special foundations. A powder-coated, sound-dampening enclosure is standard on all models ensuring low noise levels. The enclosure has wide-opening doors and removable panels providing easy access to all maintenance points. These units include replaceable, cleanable cabinet pre-filter mats to prevent particles larger than 40 microns from entering the enclosure. The Kaeser vacuum system is highly engineered and provides many special features:
- air-cooled cooler
- oversized airend bearings
- PC-based control system
- full voltage magnetic starter
- package is completely piped and wired
- solenoid controlled inlet valve
- dual modulation controls
