Rotary Screw
Rotary screw compressors operate on the principle of positive displacement. Filtered air enters the inlet of the airend where two rotors un-mesh. As the rotors re-mesh, the space is reduced on the opposite side of the airend and thus, the air is compressed and moved to the discharge port.

Reciprocating

Reciprocating compressors are a positive displacement machine, which means using a piston within a cylinder they increase the pressure of the air by reducing its volume, thus taking in successive volumes of air that is confined within a closed space and elevating this air to a higher pressure.

Centrifugal

Unlike Rotary and Reciprocating air compressors, which are positive displacement systems, a Centrifugal compressor is known as a "dynamic" system. A dynamic compressor raises air pressure using an impeller to impart radial flow and a diffuser to convert the residual velocity energy to pressure energy.

Oil-Free

Oil-Free compressors are available as rotary screw, piston, and centrifugal designs. The rotary screw utilizes specially designed air ends to compress air without oil in the compression chamber; the centrifugal is oil-free by design with oil lubricated running gear separated from the air by shaft seals and atmospheric vents.

Packaged Air Systems

In recent years, various manufacturers have been stepping up their design and production of "packaged" air systems. It might be more correctly defined as "pre-packaged" systems. These come from the factory with many of the complimentary components for a complete system already mounted on a skid, ready for installation.

PET Packaged Systems

Hope Air Systems has over 30 years experience in designing skid-mounted PET package systems to meet a wide range of requirements, including expanded focus on offerings from 1,000 L/M to 40,000 L/M at 40Kg. We have extensive experience with every type of installation, including screw/booster, reciprocating 3-stage, centrifugal, and oil-free screw booster systems.
